In my experience, it’s rare for brothers and sisters to get on well with each other. So, if you put three pairs of siblings in a band together, it wouldn’t be at all surprising if chaos ensues. But the Bradford band, Mischief, is proving me wrong. Now in their teens, they have been playing together since they were very young – and it shows in their tight, confident performances.
Mischief is essentially a heavy rock band, but one with a gutsy attitude. Classically trained keyboards bring a little prog. The lightning fingers of the lead guitarist add a hint of metal. Strong female vocals provide emotion. And the rhythm section mixes in a sprinkling of funk. They are young, but they are growing up fast. Crotchety Man’s crystal ball says they are destined for a very bright future. As long as studies, jobs, families and sibling rivalries don’t get in the way.

I know I’m getting old, but they look like they play in the Under 12s.
